The mountain that I know as Binn Idir an Dá Log is the highest (702m) peak in the Maumturk mountain range in Connemara, in the west of Ireland. It is unnamed on the maps of the Ordnance Survey; they show Binn Idir an Dá Log as lying approximately 2.5km to the NW of the 702m peak.

In 2020 a new map, which assigned the name Mulnahogue to the 702m spot height, was published by a private company. This disparity in naming was the catalyst for my MA research.
